Net Operation Part 3 - Customization

Messages sent by a net control station may be customized as necessary for specific situations. Message text is contained in file Parms.inf in the FNpack directory.

Message designation and text corresponding to the four buttons at the bottom of the Net Control Station screen are:

NCS1Msg=ALL STATIONS CHECK IN
NCS2Msg=ANY NEW CHECKINS ?
NCS3Msg=ANY STATION WITH TRAFFIC ?
NCS4Msg=ALL STATIONS MAY SEND TRAFFIC

Message designation and text corresponding to the Activate Net button is

NetActiveMsg= NET UNDER NCS CONTROL

Clicking on a callsign in the Traffic Request listbox sends a message consisting of the callsign followed by the text portion of the following

PermitMsg= SEND ONE MESSAGE

Any of these messages can be changed using a text editor to modify the text portion of the appropriate line in file Parms.inf   Modifications need be done only at the net control station and not at net member stations.

Warning: Changing any other entries in the Parms.inf file may cause FNpack operation to become corrupted.
